Writing
So I woke up at 7:30 this morning, which is huge, since I went to bed at 1:30 and normally get up around 10. After watching the last 30 minutes of Buffy, on TBS, I turned on the laptop and opened WriteWay Professional (I love that software). I didn’t expect it to take all day, and I did spend a couple of hours Internet surfing (I haven’t even opened my email yet), but I managed to rewrite/edit my Stiletto entry.
Yay!!!!
I’m not sure if it’s ready to go. I wont have the money for another week anyway. But I’m stoked it’s done. Of course the first two chapters ended up being 39 pages and only 35 are allowed. The first chapter is one line on page 23 and the second is only 18. I wish I could take the last scene of chapter one and drag it to chapter two but that doesn’t work–actually, to make it even, I only need to move 2 pages, which is ridiculous, so I guess it’s fine as is.
I did have to delete the last scene in chapter two for the contest though. I hope it won’t matter. It’s cute…my heroine with the women in the house and their first competition, but it’s not very eventful, and it was better deleting that then a setup scene which is necessary to understand why she is in the house and her motivation. I may need to move the chapter title back some so they don’t look lopsided. Not sure if that matters–if it would be noticed and possibly held against me. Better to be safe though, right?
I’m working on the final scene (a two-pager) for the second chapter that won’t be a part of the entry, and then come Monday I’ll be able to begin chapter 3. Tomorrow I need to start the synopsis, and let me tell you I am not looking forward to it. I always gets stuck on how to start and all of it. Not my friend. But I’ll worry about that tomorrow.

Length: Novella
If you could be kidnapped by any man, who would it be?
And thus it was from the beginning of time. Two knights. One bride. They whispered their story to The Chosen, a human endowed with the gift of Hearing… The Chosen
wrote the story and released it into the human world. The bait was set. The spell was cast. And then they waited… (An excerpt from the Ierd Kimeno, the sacred text of the Twelfth Knight Brotherhood)
Kaitlin Doyle had devoured many a steamy romance novel — bondage stories, ménage stories, stories about vampires and warriors and werewolves. But her all-time favorite was Her Dark Knights. The heroes, Cayne and Ronan, were fallen angels. Demons! Who would have ever thought that she’d find evil beings so freaking sexy? Or that she’d fantasize about being possessed by two darkly seductive Masters? But still, that was just fantasy. Her naughty little secret. It could never happen in real life.
Then again, maybe it could…
One minute she’s sleeping in her bed, the next she’s dragged into the world of her favorite author’s imagination. And those sinfully gorgeous fallen angels are about to make her darkest fantasies reality. She’d never dreamed it was possible, that she could surrender to her secret desires.
Ohhhh, the wanton pleasure…

Writing
Today I got into a huge verbal fight with a neighbor–an opinionated, wouldn’t shut the fuck up, bitch of a neighbor. I don’t feel like talking tonight.
On the other side, I did no writing today or yesterday. I plan to spend all day Saturday and Sunday polishing my Stiletto entry, and then I have next week to write the syno, with a week to spare for touch ups or what have you. I also plan on judging for the contest, so that should be cool.
Anyway, tomorrow will be a better day. :D Tootles!

Reviews
California Demon was the same funny, witty banter of soccer mom and demon hunter, Kate Connor. It was pretty similar to the first book in the series, Carpe Demon, but this one had David Long. I don’t want to give anything away for those who haven’t read this book, but I’m seriously hoping he is whom Kate suspects him to be. And if he isn’t, I don’t want anyone to tell me. I’ll find out for myself when I read Demons Are Forever. There were parts that I rolled my eyes at, most just the number of times I had to be reminded she preferred dealing with demons than shopping with toddlers. Other than that, the book was good and stopped on a damn cliff-hanger. Ugh!
I can’t wait to get the next one.

I spent one and a half hours on my prepaid cell phone with Verizon tech, reconfiguring my damn connections. But finally it’s working! Yay!
I’ve posted my blog posts. Now I have to read 3 days of emails–oh the fun!
I’m just so glad I’m back. lol

Ok, so there is worse, but you really don’t realize how dependent upon the world wide web you are until you no longer have it. ALL my friends are long distance, including my family. But even if they lived in the next town, I couldn’t call them. ALL of my bill paying is online. I don’t even own checks. Granted, it’s only a day or two without the service, I hope, but it makes me wonder.
What if I had to go a week or a month without it? How would I do the normal things in life? I’d rearrange everything, but wow…
It hs given me time to read though. I’m trying to finish California Demon by Wednesday.
I’ve rewritten my Stiletto entry, and plan to spend this week editing it and writing the syno. Then I’ve upped my deadline (pushed forward) to finish the book by the end of August, rather than June–just can’t do it. Then for the month of September, I can either write Undead Like Me or polish Release and my WW mystery. We’ll see when the time comes.
Now, back to my non-regularly scheduled program.

I wrote this blog post, and the next one, on my computer and will be transferring it over to the blog when my Internet goes back on. &)^&#^*&&*()$#@@%*)^&$#
So, my Internet went down last night around 9:30. Just suddenly POOF! No reason. Since my phone is through Vonage, a.k.a. DSL, I also had no fun, and I won’t be able to call Verizon until Tuesday. Ugh, that’s two days without Internet or phone.
How is a person suppose to live?
