Today I discovered NaturallyCurly.com. I never knew there was an entire site dedicated to us curly heads. It also lists the different types of curls. I believe I’m a 3B, but not certain. My curls are very curly, but they either frizz or breakdown rather quickly–well, I think it’s fast. This is a pic from my latest hair coloring. You can’t tell from the picture.
I’ve since added bangs, which I’ve chemically straightened (just the bangs) and cut the layers a bit, so my crown is shorter (higher) curls. I’ll try to get a new pic soon.
There is a ton of information on the site, and a forum to chat with other curlies, as they call themselves. They have a shop where you can find most of the curly products out there (the quality ones). Who knew I was hurting my hair by using silicone based products?
It seems like a great place to learn tons and share with others who go through the same hair dilemmas.
