About
My love for writing began around age eight, when I’d write out the fairytales into scripts and persuade my cousins to perform them in front of the family. It continued into high school where I took a creative writing class with the hardest, strictest teacher on the face of the planet.
Somewhere between 21 and 38 (Gosh, that’s a lot of years), I worked the various, non-writing jobs, like life insurance examiner (hello book fodder) and medical biller, traveled, took on the roll of mother and writing just seemed like an impossible dream–something to fantasize about as a teen but not to expect as a mature adult.
Pfft on maturity!
Now I spend my days creating young adult characters who dream and plots that show the ugly and hopeful sides of life. I also homeschool my two children, love to cook and sing (usually the wrong words), play The Sims 2, ignore the dust bunnies (they’re forming a colony) and watch a ridiculous amount of television (see blog).
We live in New England with a wonderful man, a huge, gray-stripped cat, Theo, and a black kitten, Malcolm.
